LOST – AND FOUND!

Here’s a message for the players of Otter 1869, the 2007 winners of Division Four – don’t worry lads, we’ve found it!

What had gone missing? Nothing less than the Roddy Haswell and Richard Laundon Trophy, presented to champions Otter at the NWPL annual meeting in Hockley Heath on 14 January.

It seems that, on the way home from the Midlands, someone left the treasured item in a London taxi.

Fortunately, the cabbie concerned is an honest chap and a real sport, too. Many drivers would have disposed of the item at the nearest tip. But not Bill Neill. He took the trouble to look up the NWPL website and contact chairman Steve Monico – who, as can be seen from this photograph, then arranged to collect the trophy during a business trip to the capital.

Many thanks Bill.
