Lancaster added a fourth consecutive British Championship title to their National league crown when they defeated Bristol Central 10-6 in the final at Manchester Aquatics Centre.
Bristol led 4-3 at the halfway stage, but by then had had front line players John Sissons and Paul Morris excluded from the game. Lancaster took the lead in the third period and outplayed Bristol 4-1 in the last to win with plenty to spare.
Dougie Campbell led the Lancaster scoring with four. Craig Figes contributed three of Bristol’s goals.
There was plenty of excitement in the bronze medal game, Rotherham Metro defeating Cheltenham 9-8 in extra time.
The score at the end of normal time was 7-7. Adam Scholefield edged Rotherham in front in the first period of additional time but two minutes remained in the second when James Ross equalised. Then, just as a penalty shoot-out seemed likely, the outstanding Scholefield claimed the winner with just over a minute remaining on the clock.
