JACK, 15, MAKES IMPRESSIVE START

Bristol Central reckon they’ve a star in the making in goalkeeper Jack Trewhitt, who, at just 15, made his Division One debut at Loughborough and played in all three matches.

Jack was one of the youngsters Central recruited when they relaunched their junior side some 15 months ago. Very early on, he fancied giving goalkeeping a try – and has made marvellous progress ever since.

At Loughborough, Jack replaced 43-year-old first choice Andy Knight, who was attending a wedding in Switzerland. But the youngster is likely to be given further senior experience as the season progresses.
